We leave the floor to those who make it: Jérôme Montagnon, Director of the factory in Lantenne-Vertière (25) where Lisséa tiles are manufactured.
As part of this project, Wienerberger France mobilized all of the company's human resources, from preparing the mix with the quarry teams, through the sales teams, production forces and support services, the product development, quality to be able to best satisfy their customers.
The point of which they are most proud is to have succeeded in manufacturing this product with a flat pureau, which required a lot of adaptation of the manufacturing process, due to the raw materials, the drying and the cooking supports, to be able to industrialize it in record time.
This tile is made from plaster molds. This is really a specificity at Wienerberger, which allows for flatness and a very smooth surface of the product. But also deep sockets, which guarantee watertightness.
To make a tile, they start from local raw materials: clay, to which they add water. They had to modify more than 66.000 drying racks to guarantee the perfect flatness of the product.
