To meet low carbon objectives, but also the specific technical constraints of the site, the Thermactif solution® Expert was chosen for the heating and cooling of 6 buildings in Saint-Ouen, 3 concrete frame constructions and 3 wooden structures. 15.000 m² of heating-cooling floors were thus implemented, on concrete floors and wooden floors. The ultra-reactive Thermactif® Expert heating-cooling floor, from the 2de Génération Thermactif®, is the result of a combination of a fine and ultra-responsive heating/cooling floor system from Thermacome with high thermal performance fluid screed technology from Thermio® Max from Anhydritec. Thermacome's PEXc Ecotube® DN12 tubes require half the volume of water than a traditional system. Thanks to the high thermal conductivity of the Thermio® Max screed (2 W/mK) and its possible casting in very thin thickness (2,5cm above the tube), the Thermactif® solution allows a very high temperature rise. fast. The system's emission is increased by up to +1,5% in both heating and cooling.
This floor solution perfectly meets the many constraints of the construction site:
- Low carbon constructions certified NF Habitat HQE : thanks to its high-tech components, Thermactif® Expert improves the thermal performance of buildings and reduces the carbon footprint of the system by 40%. In addition, its reactivity allows you to reach a comfortable temperature3 times faster than a classic system, without overheating and without peak consumption. The reversibility of the system also ensures refreshment for minimum consumption : thanks to the COOL-TEC® technology of the screed which absorbs 40% more heat than a cement screed, the cold water circulating in the tubes helps lower the temperature of homes in summer from 5 to 7 degrees, even during extreme heat.
- Very low noise levels between accommodations : in order to provide as much peace as possible for athletes, acoustic performance levels have been set for these constructions, taking into account heating and cooling equipment. Totally silent, the Thermactif® Expert heating-cooling floor also contributes to floor insulation.
- Completed with an acoustic underlay, this solution contributed to achieving results beyond requirements. In-situ tests attest to an impact noise level between stacked dwellings of 47 dB and an impact noise level between adjacent dwellings of 50 dB (including low frequencies), for a maximum of 55 dB required. in both cases.
- A high level of comfort and air quality : low temperature system, operating on the principle of radiation, the Thermactif heating-cooling floor® Expert distributes heat and cooling gently and evenly. Integrated into the floor, the system does not emit any air movement into the room, therefore no circulation of dust, allergens or bacteria. In addition, the ambient air is not dried out and the hygrometry of the accommodation is completely respected.
- A system adaptable to the evolution of housing after the competition : intended to be transformed into living accommodation after the athletes' visit, the interior spaces of the buildings will be remodeled and the partitions moved to create apartments. Wall-mounted equipment solutions were therefore excluded. Totally invisible, the Thermactif heating-cooling floor® Expert adapts to all configurations, without requiring adjustments or transformations. Integrated regulation per housing allows independent control and is compatible with all scenarios.
- Quick implementation : the Thermactif choice® Expert also made it possible to meet the short construction deadlines of the Athletes' Village. The system is in fact designed for quick implementations thanks to the combination of light and easy to install studded slabs, tubes which are inserted into a precise installation pitch and the Thermio screed® Max which integrates SA technologies® (accelerated drying) and R+R® (faster covering), for installation of floor coverings in a reduced time.
