Controlling its energy consumption and implementing efficiency and energy security criteria, these are the objectives of the Hérault gammist, recognized on July 25, 2023 by this certification.
Already certified ISO 9001 (Quality), 14001 (Environment) and 45001 (Health and Safety at work), illustrating the desire of Profils Systèmes to strive towards excellence in all aspects of its activities, ISO 50001 certification, delivered for 3 years, was awarded to it following an external audit which took place from July 3 to 10 on its Baillargues site (48.000 m2 of building, more than 400 employees).
This audit highlighted the relevance of the action plan developed by Profils Systèmes in order to reduce its energy consumption. Thus, its choice of using green electricity was praised, as was the replacement of all lighting fixtures with LED bulbs, leading to significant energy savings for equal lighting.
In terms of reducing its gas consumption, it was initiated in 2012 thanks to significant investments to modernize the cooking process on the vertical lacquering line, also made possible by the removal of an oven coupled with the installation of “Revolving Doors » (revolving door oven). This dynamic was reinforced in 2015 with the acquisition of a new aluminum billet preheating furnace, benefiting from a combustion fume recovery system, which consumes less energy and is more efficient.
Furthermore, the evolution of its vehicle fleet was also taken into account, whether industrial trucks or company cars replaced by electric or hybrid models (2/3 have already been replaced by summer 2023, with a view to a 100% objective in 2025).
Finally, let us emphasize that Profils Systèmes continues to invest in reducing its ecological footprint with, in particular, the installation of 18.000 m2 of photovoltaic panels distributed on the roofs of buildings and the shade of car parks, currently being implemented. installation this summer. The aim will be to total 4.840 MWh over one year and thus cover 50% of the overall consumption of Profils Systèmes.
Attentive to the responsible management of resources, Profils Systèmes intends more than ever to provide innovative solutions while respecting the strictest environmental and sustainability standards.
For Aymeric Reinert, Managing Director of Profils Systèmes: « Obtaining ISO 50001 certification reflects our constant efforts to improve our energy efficiency and reduce our carbon footprint. This achievement adds to our previous ISO certifications, reinforcing our commitment to providing high quality products while respecting the environment. »
