The regulations regarding fire risk on roofs are built around two essential considerations: that of a fire emanating from inside the building but also that of a fire coming from outside the building.
For the first, particular attention is paid to the type of insulation used.
For the second consideration, the requirement concerns the justification of a Broof classification (t3) on the complex made up of the steel tray, the insulation and the waterproofing system.
Non-combustible insulation, such as ROCKWOOL rock wool, prevents both the spread of fire and the penetration of smoke and flames into the interior of the building. They emit little smoke in a fire situation and have very good fire resistance performance.
