MaPrimeRénov', the flagship energy renovation assistance program, will continue to support the French in 2025, albeit with some notable adjustments.
With the entry into force of decree 2024-143, MaPrimeRénov' saw its terms and conditions change on January 1, 2025.
Good news: funding for energy renovation work has been renewed, particularly for "single-step" renovations, i.e., projects that only address one aspect of the home (insulation, heat pump installation, etc.). F and G-rated homes also remain eligible, with no requirement for a prior energy assessment for these simple renovations.
However, not everything is rosy. Grants for wood-burning heating equipment, such as boilers or inserts, are being reduced, and the maximum advance payment for low-income households is being reduced from 70% to 50%, with no impact on the final grant amounts. However, for large-scale projects, financial support is increasing, with higher rates for middle-income and higher-income households.
