Since the highly anticipated tertiary decree published in October 2019, schools, hospitals, offices, businesses and any tertiary use building of more than 1.000 m² will have to meet a double obligation: reduce their energy consumption and communicate their progress to the public authorities .
In parallel with these obligations, financial assistance was created in May 2020: the “Heating boost for tertiary buildings”. Objective: to give financial leverage to professionals to meet their obligations and fuel the recovery. The result is a bonus distributed by energy suppliers or their partners who have signed a charter, within the framework of Energy Savings Certificates (EEC).
Since September 2022, the system has evolved. Make way for “A helping hand for heating collective and tertiary residential buildings”. It is therefore now aimed at both sectors, and aims to optimize the energy consumption of the park, by promoting heat networks (or district heating) using renewable energies.
