The SMAC PACA teams have completed the cladding work on the future Vauclusian Heritage Research and Conservation Center in Avignon. This innovative and large-scale building is designed to preserve up to 40 kilometers of documents, including the 26 kilometers already preserved in the Departmental Archives.
This building will house research, conservation and heritage promotion spaces, with a conference room, an exhibition room, educational spaces and landscaping.
👉The methods office and the works department, in collaboration with the Technical & Innovation Department, took up the technical challenges of this ambitious project.
This notably involved obtaining an ATEx case B for the terracotta complex on metal trays, as well as the innovative installation of vertical terracotta sunshades.
The seismic tests carried out validated these processes, with a favorable opinion from the CSTB.
The SMAC teams have thus implemented:
✅ 4.237 m² of terracotta cladding
✅ 346 m² of sunshade
✅ 1.980 m² of mineral stain
✅ 697 ml of covers
✅ 943 m² of exterior thermal insulation
