Restoring the natural course of the Mérantaise River was a bold gamble to protect biodiversity and strengthen the ecological resilience of the territory. Thanks to the determination of local authorities and the know-how of companies specializing in ecological engineering, the project has brought this fragile ecosystem back to life.
The development of the banks and the removal of artificial obstacles now provide a preserved natural space where flora and fauna thrive.
