The shed roof of the Legrand factory required repair. The SOPREMA Entreprises agency in Limoges was chosen to undertake the work which consisted of removing the old polyurethane waterproofing then implementing a new liquid waterproofing with a cool roof finish.
The 16 sheds, with an area of 712 m², were renovated in two phases, from August to the end of December 2022 then from March to May 2023. Once the rounded sheds were secured, the 5 professionals removed the old resin , sanded the concrete support by vacuum then applied a primer (ALSAN® 170). A resin (ALSAN® 770 PMMA), an ALSAN® P 105 veil and a cool roof finish (ALSAN® 970 CR) completed the waterproofing.
Liquid waterproofing on slopes of 45% did not pose any particular problem during application. Only the safety of the companions and their movements were major issues. They were systematically attached with a harness and a lanyard. The project was completed at the beginning of July 2023, in the middle of a heatwave. On the roof, the reflection of the sun could be felt and the support was cold. Inside, the same observation. The workers worked in a pleasant environment. Summer comfort which will also reduce energy bills generated by air conditioning.
