Discover how the URETEK® teams reinforced the Air Marin bridge, located on the RD137 near Yves, in Charente-Maritime. This bridge, completed in 1996, presented worrying cracks and subsidence requiring urgent intervention.
URETEK® used its exclusive expansive resin injection process to consolidate the soil beneath the roadway. This method made it possible to generate three-dimensional static compaction of the soil, thus considerably improving its mechanical characteristics.
The strong point of this technical solution lies in its great flexibility. Unlike traditional methods, URETEK® was able to keep the circulation open every morning without requiring any special drying time. This approach helped minimize disruption to motorists.
After only 4 nights of intervention from 20 p.m. to 6 a.m., the bridge was reinforced on two sections of 50 m², representing a total volume of 400 m3 of consolidated land. Motorists can now travel in complete safety.
