The company MT Technology, an environmentally classified installation, operated a foundry of steel parts for the automobile industry (and before that, manufactured special steels, calcium carbides, nickel and chrome electrolysis).
The company went into liquidation in 2016, leaving behind 781.000 tonnes of waste, most of it classified as hazardous. The 21.483 m2 site is located almost on the banks of the Arc where individual homes and activities in the secondary and school sector coexist.
The Etablissement Public Foncier Local de la Savoie is responsible for securing the site with the support and control of ADEME, via technical and financial assistance, and is thus preparing for the new use.
