Welcome to #GAARE La Courneuve - Six Routes. For #HeritageDays, embark on a JOURNEY with Stephane Bern to this unique site rich in cultural heritage, the result of a collaboration between architects and artists with two major AAs.
This station is a true reflection of man and nature. Its architecture was designed by the Chartier Dalix agency. It pays homage to the town's working-class past (look at its red bricks!) and echoes the nearby George-Valbon Park.
The artist Duy Anh Nhan Duc deploys on the ceiling of level -3 a root system formed by the union of the lines of the hands of several hundred inhabitants of La Courneuve.
On the walls of each Grand Paris Express platform, an illustrator is invited to create a large-scale mural inspired by the areas served. These works are created by artists from the fields of illustration, comics, graphic design, and animation. The illustrations for the La Courneuve - Six Routes station are by Alice Seay.
