Since the end of 2023, the Airbus site in Toulouse has been supplied with renewable heat thanks to two biomass installations. The first dates from 2013, and the commissioning of the second at the end of 2023.
These two installations are both interconnected via an internal heating network, and can heat more than 800.000 m² of surface area (more than 60 buildings). The switch to renewable heat is part of the decarbonization strategy implemented by the manufacturer.
