On the occasion of a conference and an exhibition on the extraordinary scientific project of the reconstruction of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, important work of analysis, digitization and scientific mediation was carried out by scientists and associated laboratories.
To illustrate this work, a 13th century capital from the cathedral was transported to Abu Dhabi to be part of this holographic experience combining real object and digital content.
This unique technique for showcasing heritage was made possible by a collaboration between teams from the Sorbonne in Paris, Abu Dhabi, the University of Lille and Holusion.
The hologram used here is a technique developed by Holusion, designed, manufactured and assembled in France to then be used anywhere in the world.
Holusion is part of the eThesaurus consortium, a research project for the digitization, enrichment and dissemination of digitized heritage in 3D format.
