In this interview, Jérémy Juhel, head of the APC Structures group at LEGENDRE, shares his feedback on the design of the M99 Tower, one of Marseille's new iconic towers.
Faced with major technical challenges related to the height of the building, the effects of the Mistral wind and the requirements for seismic resistance, the LEGENDRE teams used GRAITEC Advance Design to analyze and validate the structural behavior of the structure.
Thanks to the integration of wind tunnel test results carried out on a 1:200 scale model, the engineers at LEGENDRE were able to accurately take into account the wind loads applied to the facade, study the displacements of the building, validate the vibratory behavior of the tower and optimize the quantities of structural materials.
