Construction Report - Insulation of interior walls and partitions with Rockmur

How to install it?

1/ Counter-partition with plasterboard and Rockmur facing, on metal frame, in concrete or masonry wall lining (NF DTU 25.41)

The supporting walls in question are masonry walls covered by the NF DTU 20.1 standard and concrete walls covered by the NF DTU 23.1 standard. The processes with plasterboard screwed onto a metal frame with the Rockmur panel placed between the facing and the support are implemented in accordance with the NF DTU 25.41 standard. Vertical metal frames may or may not have intermediate supports on the supporting wall. Insulation can be done in one or two layers, depending on the case. When the insulation consists of a single layer, the insulation is placed between the wall to be insulated and the frame of the counter-partition. When the insulation consists of 2 layers, the first is placed against the wall and the second between the studs. If necessary, the Rockmur panel is cut to the height of the wall plus 1 cm, this arrangement allowing the insulation to be kept slightly compressed between the floor and the ceiling.

2 / Masonry counter-partition

Masonry or plasterboard counter-partitions with insulation are made in accordance with the specifications of standard NF DTU 25.31, those made of small masonry elements (concrete blocks, bricks, cellular concrete) are made in accordance with the specifications of standard NF DTU 20.13. Depending on the type of wall, a device to maintain a sufficient air gap must be fixed to the wall to be lined. For all other cases, the counter-partition must be mounted at a distance equal to the thickness of the Rockmur panel. Rockmur is installed in a single layer.
