The project presented consists of the construction of a contemporary and family house, started in 2019, on land acquired in Arcachon, where an existing house, without interesting features, was demolished.
The design process, carried out in close collaboration with the clients, resulted in a house opening generously onto the Arcachon basin while preserving the view from the road.
Construction, which lasted almost three years, was marked by challenges in sourcing materials.
The structure is based on micro-piles, and precise choices were made regarding construction materials, notably the use of Stonepanel Sabbia for interior and exterior cladding, in response to technical and aesthetic constraints.
This facing, also chosen for its ability to integrate harmoniously with the natural colors of the site and its resistance to saline conditions, symbolizes the desire to integrate durable and eco-responsible materials.
The project illustrates a fruitful collaboration with Sanoa Architecture, highlighting an approach attentive to eco-responsibility and adaptation to the saline environment, while highlighting technical and aesthetic expertise in the choice of materials for a contemporary habitat that dialogue with its environment.
