Hellio experts give you all the keys to understanding the BACS decree! The BACS decree requires the implementation of a high-performance automation and control system, such as a BMS (Building Management System), in certain commercial buildings.
▶️ Please note: a BMS system is not sufficient to meet the BACS requirement. The decree requires the installation of a control system as well as the implementation of devices for monitoring, recording, and analyzing energy production and consumption data. In other words, an energy metering plan by functional zone at the building level.
▶️ Objective: better control energy consumption, in line with the tertiary decree.
🗓️ By when? January 1, 2025: existing buildings equipped with a system with a power greater than 290 kW. January 1, 2027: existing buildings equipped with a system with a power greater than 70 kW.
