AGC's range of low-carbon glasses meets the objective of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030*. The production of Low-Carbon Glass emits 40% less CO2 compared to classic flat glass for the same technical characteristics.
Throughout the production chain, AGC applies a holistic approach to reduce the carbon footprint of glass intended for construction through the use of raw materials with reduced carbon content, more responsible production through the use of a more environmentally friendly energy mix, an increase in the use of cullet – recycled glass – as well as a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions linked to transport.
