For nearly 10 years, this unique venue allowed hundreds of thousands of visitors to discover the Grand Paris Express even before its arrival. Residents, schoolchildren, elected officials, businesses, partners, and French and international delegations... all came to discover the behind-the-scenes workings of this extraordinary project and imagine the mobility of tomorrow.
The Metro Factory was much more than a space for discovery.
It was also a true place of experimentation where designers, architects and future operators came to test, observe and develop the future spaces of the metro in full-scale conditions.
A new chapter now begins.
With the extension of line 14 and the commissioning of line 18 in the fall of 2026, the Grand Paris Express is no longer just a project that we imagine. It is becoming a reality that we will soon experience.
Thank you to all those who have kept this place alive over the years: the teams, the partners and, of course, the visitors who have helped make this place a space for discovery, innovation, dialogue and sharing.
The metro factory is closing its doors. The Grand Paris Express, however, is gradually opening its own.
