Sambre et Meuse is a former industrial site where a foundry business for the railway sector operated for over a century. In 2015, the site was placed in receivership and then entrusted to ADEME due to the quantity and hazardous nature of the waste present.
A look back at an extraordinary project and a successful operation for ADEME and its partners: in 8 months of work, more than 6.000 tonnes of hazardous waste were treated.
