We're heading to Courchevel, home to Europe's highest altiport, for a project as rare as it is demanding: renovating an airstrip with a gradient of up to 18%. A technical challenge, at altitude, with very specific access and operational constraints.
In just two months, the teams at the Albertville facility resurfaced the runway and parking areas, installed a drainage trench, and lined the existing utility networks. At the heart of the operation: Recycol, deployed across 19.000 m².
This cold in-place recycling made it possible to reuse existing materials and reduce emissions related to the construction site, while guaranteeing the structural performance essential to an aeronautical infrastructure.
A circular economy solution perfectly suited to the altitude constraints… and the operational requirements of the site.
