Real estate: the ecological transition cannot be decreed, it must be built

The rhetoric is there. So are the obligations. Mandatory collective Energy Performance Diagnosis (DPE) in co-ownerships, a gradual ban on thermal sieves in rental properties, ecological housing planning... but on the ground, what do we see? Complexity, delays, anxiety among co-owners, and, all too often, patchwork solutions.

I see it every day: the French want to do the right thing. But they're alone. And faced with a jungle of standards, vague aid, collective inertia, and skyrocketing budgets, the ecological transition is becoming a path of suffering.

Let's be clear: the transition will not happen without a method. Nor without support.

• Real estate professionals need to be massively trained in energy renovation.
• Public aid must be radically simplified to make it clear and actionable.
• We need to equip co-ownerships with turnkey solutions to act quickly, effectively, and collectively.

And above all, we must put an end to the idea that ecology is an option. It is an economic, social, and heritage imperative. Because tomorrow, an unrenovated home will be a home that no longer sells. That no longer rents. That loses its value. And it won't be a question of morality, but of the market.

Committed actors are emerging to respond to this emergency, driven by a simple conviction: the ecological transition is a work in progress. And like any work in progress, it needs a conductor. Solution architects, so that each co-ownership can take action without getting lost in administrative maze.

May 2025 marks a milestone: the moment when good intentions must become concrete work. Time is running out. And in real estate, every lost month will be paid for in cash.
