A well-ventilated home is healthier, more comfortable, and more energy-efficient. An effective ventilation system requires regular maintenance. However, in France, apart from gas-fired mechanical ventilation systems (VMC gaz), maintenance of ventilation systems is not subject to any regulatory requirements. The RE2020 regulation, on the other hand, mandates an inspection upon handover of new installations, without requiring a schedule of subsequent maintenance.
