Making France a nation of homeowners: a political commitment to the security of the French

It has become urgent to face the truth: the pension system is no longer able to guarantee lasting financial security. To stake one's entire future on a collective mechanism weakened by deficits, demographics, and economic instability is tantamount to leaving it to chance. And no one can approach twenty or thirty years of retirement with uncertainty as their only horizon.

Faced with this vulnerability, there is a simple, concrete, and powerful lever: homeownership. Not as a dream reserved for a select few, but as a fundamental right for every French citizen, regardless of their background, origin, history, or income. Becoming a homeowner is not a luxury; it is a strategic necessity. Indeed, it is currently the only social protection policy truly accessible to all.

Because there's one undeniable fact: real estate is the only asset that structures, protects, and transmits wealth. You can sell at a loss, weather crises, and face unforeseen events: something will always remain. Always. Capital, even a small amount, is infinitely greater than having no savings at all. Buying is building a security that no one can ever take away. It's constructing a form of personal insurance, independent of political cycles, successive reforms, and broken promises.

With savings eroded by inflation and the cost of living skyrocketing, not buying property is tantamount to voluntarily relinquishing the only stable security still within reach. The illusion that retirement will be enough to maintain a decent standard of living is crumbling a little more each year. It is time to adopt a clear political stance: France must once again become a nation of homeowners.

Not in the ideological sense of privilege, but in the sense of a pact of collective security. A society of property owners is one where everyone possesses a foundation, an asset, an economic dignity. A society where people no longer fear aging, where they are no longer entirely dependent on an external system for survival. Property is an economic stabilizer, a social buffer, a bulwark against impoverishment.

The issue is no longer just about real estate; it is profoundly political. It touches on individual sovereignty as much as on national cohesion. Helping the French to buy property means helping them protect themselves. It means offering them the only tool capable of securing their future, guaranteeing their autonomy, and giving them back control of their destiny.

The message can be summed up in one word: buy. Buy when it's easy, buy when it's difficult, buy when the market is moving, buy when it's tightening. Buying is no longer an option. It's a strategy for economic survival. And it's perhaps the most political action anyone can take to secure their own future.
