KYD.42 is the physical distancing solution developed by CAD.42. The carriers of this solution are alerted by a sound and light signal when they are too dangerous to approach a machine equipped with a KYD.42 or another carrier of KYD.42 to ensure both the safety of companions who evolve in coactivity with machines but also to facilitate barrier gestures.
How it works
Each device measures its relative distance to other nearby devices by time-of-flight measurement. Each distance is calculated about twenty times every second to ensure the responsiveness of the system.
It is therefore not a geolocation system and therefore does not process personal data. This allows our customers to deploy this solution without social constraints.
KYD.42 is able to manage multiple distances depending on the target KYD.42 configurations. Some of our clients use this system to address vehicle-pedestrian collision along with social distancing. A KYD.42 configured to alert the operator of the machine is then configured at 5m (for example) in order to alert any entry of an employee into the perimeter of KYD.42.
This system thus makes it possible to deal with any risk of approaching dangerous areas.
An ON / OFF button to turn on the device. It can be carried in a pocket or using the carabiner or latch provided.
An Android and iPhone mobile application is provided to change the alert settings (distance, max duration, etc.) if necessary.
Optionally, our customers who wish can go back to the history of contacts: date, time, id of bippers, and duration of contacts automatically on the FieldTracker application. This option allows our customers to analyze the organization of their sites and possibly implement corrective actions to guarantee their employees the safest possible organization of work.
We recommend an anonymized distribution of devices, which guarantees compliance with GDPR rules.
