From the factory the surface has the aesthetic of a uniform zinc patina. While prePATINA clear zinc has a bluish-gray appearance, prePATINA slate zinc has a darker slate-gray tint. These two colors are obtained without artificial coating, lacquering or phosphating and result from the properties of the alloy.
The unique pre-skating process used in their production in the world does not hinder the natural patina formation process. Also, over time, a patina, almost invisible to the naked eye, forms under atmospheric influences and protects the surface. With time and the development of the patina, the zinc prePATINA slate may take on slight greenish reflections due to its higher copper content. Thanks to the natural skating process, any scratches during application are filled.
