The ECAP® System is an External Thermal Insulation (ITE) process which uses semi-finished polystyrene sheets. External insulation represents significant work and this new technique, suitable for new work as well as rehabilitation, offers an easy and simplified implementation. This translates into a shorter site and less arduous work.
The expanded polystyrene sheets of the ECAP® system received, during manufacture, a treatment which revolutionizes the times of installation by simplifying the stages of implementation.
The first pass of the base layer, the masking of the reinforcement and the location of the pegs are carried out directly in the factory. The ECAP® sheets are therefore delivered with a layer of undercoat, which eliminates the steps of the initial leveling and of laying and masking of the fiberglass reinforcement during the construction site.
This system also avoids sanding all the surfaces thanks to better alignment of the panels which saves the intermediate times of the essential drying.
