Red Grandis is a fast-growing, uniform, and high-strength plantation timber. As a hardwood, it is robust and extremely weather-resistant, and its durability class 2 makes it comparable to oak. Furthermore, it exhibits a uniform grain and structure, a consistent light reddish-brown color, and is virtually knot-free thanks to professional plantation management.

All wood used by Solarlux is FSC® and PEFC certified, sourced from sustainably managed forests according to strict environmental, social, and ethical criteria. Unparalleled manufacturing quality
At the heart of the Solarlux campus in Melle, an integrated 5,500 m² joinery workshop combines cutting-edge technologies and traditional craftsmanship. The wood is stored under controlled humidity, machined on automated centers, and then worked manually with great precision.
The finishing process follows a rigorous procedure: – impregnation and priming by immersion, – intermediate manual sanding, – robotic application of the final layer for perfect homogeneity.
Each system is custom-made and checked by an independent auditor, guaranteeing one of the highest levels of quality on the market.
Solarlux offers 26 types of wood (spruce, pine, oak, as well as specific species on request) and a great freedom of finishes: oiled finishes, opaque varnishes or custom tints, independent of manufacturers.
Each project thus becomes unique, perfectly integrated into the architecture and lifestyle of its occupants.
Technical specifications and options
The design of our window profiles is based on a requirement for absolute stability and longevity, essential to enhance demanding architectural projects.
- Maximum structural stability The profiles are made of high-quality laminated wood. To guarantee exceptional strength, we use the patented Plug-Tec mechanical assembly. This locked corner joint, reinforced by additional screws, ensures extreme rigidity of the door leaves over time, thus preventing any risk of deformation.
- Construction depth of 91 mm : A generous and robust thickness, shared by both the frame and the sash profile, for optimal thermal and acoustic performance.
- Line fineness (Apparent widths) * Only 72 mm all around for fixed frames, maximizing the amount of light entering the room.
- 100 mm for opening elements with a sash, maintaining a clean and balanced design.
- True cross braces as an option : To adapt to traditional architectures or to add rhythm to the facade, genuine wooden crossbars are available made-to-measure in different widths.
And above all, we have obtained the highest certification in terms of sound insulation on the market, namely 46 dB of acoustic reduction.
