Description See +Hide
Floetrol® Artistique is a special additive to create a Pouring effect. Specially formulated to be incorporated into colored acrylic paints, FLOETROL® makes it easy to obtain multicolored cells.
It allows to obtain a painting with a nice smooth matte-satin finish with a nice effect of depth.
Operation mode
Incorporate and mix FLOETROL® in each of the colored acrylic paints.
The dosage can generally vary between 1 part of FLOETROL® for 4 parts of paint and 1 part of FLOETROL® for 2 parts of paint depending on the desired result.
The more FLOETROL® is present in each color, the higher the density of multicore cells and the smaller the cell size.
The painting is achieved by superimposing the colors between them without mixing them.
Benefits
FLOETROL® makes it possible to reduce the viscosity of acrylic paints without having to use a strong dilution with water and thus allows to obtain denser shades.
FLOETROL® is compatible with the addition of a few drops of Silicone.
FLOETROL® has a good resistance to the passage of the flame allowing the appearance of small multicolored cells.
Floetrol® artistic, let your imagination and your creativity speak.
Features SeeHide
FLOETROL® is an additive in the aqueous phase which improves the sliding and tensile properties of acrylic and emulsion paints during difficult climatic conditions (high heat, drafts, etc.). FLOETROL® also facilitates and improves spray application while slowing down the wear of certain parts (nozzles, etc.).
Property
Avoids traces of recovery, facilitates sliding, allows better tension.
Delays the setting of paints and reduces the so-called '' cordage '' or '' dapple '' aspect. Ideal for work with decorative effect.
Effortlessly repaint a ceiling for optimal results.
Indispensable during a spray application because:
- offers greater flexibility of use
- limits paint accumulations in the spray gun
- reduces pressure by up to 20%
- lubricates the nozzles and reduces their wear
- reduces 'fog' and prevents irregular splashes
Destination
Inside and outside. • Can be added directly to paints in aqueous phase: acrylics, PU acrylics, vinyls, alkyds in emulsion, RPE, RSE, decorative paints…
Substrate preparation
Mixed with paint, FLOETROL® is applied on a dry, clean, healthy and prepared support (degreased, sanded ...) whose use, nature, quality, treatments and preparation comply with standards and DTU in force and the indications written on the paint can with which FLOETROL® will be mixed. The recognition and preparation of the support are the responsibility of the applicator.
Good application tips
Prepare the surface according to the recommendations of the manufacturer of the paint used. • Carry out a compatibility test between FLOETROL® and the paint. The mixture must be homogeneous. • Mix the paint alone first then add FLOETROL®. Mix again. • Application temperature between + 5 ° C and + 35 ° C. • FLOETROL® does not modify the color or shine of mat or satin finishes. • Not suitable for alkyd solvent-based paints. In this case use RUSTOL-OWATROL® *. Do not use either in mixture with a transparent acrylic varnish.
Application
Proportions of FLOETROL® to be added to the first coat of paint depending on the method of application: - Brush or roller: add 7 to 15% of FLOETROL® per liter of paint. - Air or compressed air gun: add 5 to 10% of FLOETROL® per liter of paint to obtain the required consistency. If the paint thickens, add a spoon of water per liter of paint. - Airless spray gun: add 10% FLOETROL® per liter of paint. - Decorative effects: add 20 to 25% of FLOETROL® per liter of paint. Apply the mixture according to the recommendations and prescriptions defined by the manufacturer of the paint used.
