Thanks to the camera with x4 zoom. the Leica DISTO™ D510 takes measurements with perfect accuracy even in unfavorable light. This advantage is decisive for working outdoors. under the sun. Even if the red laser dot is no longer visible. the target is displayed precisely on the screen.
Unlimited measurement options
The Leica DISTO™ D510 is equipped with a 360° inclinometer. It allows to measure not only angles. but also the horizontal distances! Combined with the camera. it offers incredible indirect measurement options. Measurements are therefore possible in the absence of a reflective point on the target.
Bluetooth® Smart and app
Measurements can be transferred using Bluetooth® Smart technology. The free Leica DISTO™ Plan app enables the creation of floor plans. or tables. on iPhone or iPad. It is even possible to enter the dimensions on the photos.
Robust and easy to clean
The housing and the keyboard have a special seal for water and dust. Cleaning under running water is no problem. Besides. the laser distance meter can be used in all weather conditions as it is dust and splash proof (IP65).

*Bluetooth Smart: The Bluetooth 4.0 (Smart) module integrated in the Disto D510 and D810 only interfaces with Bluetooth Smart Ready devices. that is to say which integrate the functions of low energy consumption of Bluetooth 4.0. Devices not compatible with Bluetooth Smart. will therefore not be compatible with the Disto D510 and D810.
Some devices running Android prior to version 4.3. incorporate Bluetooth 4.0. It would seem that this integration is partial. because only Android 4.3 and above has the necessary drivers to support the Bluetooth Smart energy saving function. This means only for andoird devices. although Bluetooth 4.0 is included. depending on the version of android installed, operation with the Disto D510 and Disto D810 is not guaranteed.
For iOS devices (Apple brand only). Bluetooth Smart is fully integrated from the iPhone 4S and iPad 3rd generation. Older iOS models do not include Bluetooth Smart. they are therefore not compatible.
Finally. for portable devices (smartphones and tablets) under Windows Phone 8. applications are not available. It will therefore not be possible to connect a Disto D510 or D810 to it. For computers under Windows 8, you must use the Disto Transfer software. And. the Windows 8 OS fully managing Bluetooth Smart. a simple Bluetooth 4.0 module is required. unless it is already integrated into the computer (which is often the case).
