The European standard EN 12320 defines the performance requirements and test methods applicable to mechanical padlocks and padlock holders used in buildings and for general purposes. It aims to evaluate, in a standardized manner, the security, mechanical strength, durability, corrosion resistance, and proper functioning of padlocks.
