Description See +Hide
Bring artificial intelligence into your crawl spaces and isolate the impossible with Q-bot's insulating robot.
If your crawl space makes less than 80cm in height, it may be compliant for a basement thermal insulation, which would otherwise be impossible to access.
Controlled and directed by an applicator, the robot is thus able to remotely access an environment that is dangerous or physically impractical for a human.
Implementation
He's inserted into the crawl space through an air vent, explores and maps the environment to then project a layer of high performance polyurethane foam.
Basement insulation improves a building's energy efficiency in two ways:
- By reducing the heat loss between the space under the building and the ground.
- By creating a barrier to cold air entering the dwelling.
The "in situ" application allows the insulation to fit perfectly to the support. This technique makes it possible to reduce the disturbance caused by renovation work in inhabited premises.

Features SeeHide
After applying layers of insulation under the floor with Q-Bot's solution, the main advantages are:
- less drafts (~1/3 for the whole house)
- less temperature stratification (hot feet)
- lower energy bills (~£150/year)
Q-Bot's method has been shown to reduce the risk of moisture and mold compared to uninsulated flooring and other insulating materials.
