How does our IPE STOP ONE electromagnetic polarity inverter work?
Our STOP-ONE electromagnetic polarity inverter diffuses a very low frequency electromagnetic field which changes the orientation of water molecules. These molecules then fall back into the foundations by gravity, carrying with them some of the salts responsible for efflorescence and damp spots. Then, the drying of the walls takes place by natural evaporation of the humidity.
It can be easily placed or fixed in the wet area without intervention on the masonry.

To install the IPE STOP ONE electromagnetic polarity inverter, it is essential to place it at least 1,50 meters from any electrical or electronic device. The location must be at a minimum height of 25 cm and not exceed 1 meter from the ground. Once hung on the wall like a painting, the device must not be moved and must be installed directly on a load-bearing wall or shear wall, without ever placing it on a plasterboard lining. To determine whether the effective diameter of a STOP ONE covers the whole building, the dimensions of the dwelling, in particular the largest diagonal, must be taken into account. The STOP-ONE electromagnetic polarity inverter must be permanently connected, but its power consumption is very low, ie 0,75 W, resulting in a cost of approximately €15 per year.
With regard to the stripping of coatings or film-forming coatings, it is recommended to remove them from the lower part of the walls to a height of about 10 cm above the degradation fringe to allow the walls to breathe.
The ventilation of the dwelling is essential to obtain good air circulation, because the drying of the walls is done partly by evaporation. It is therefore crucial to have adequate ventilation in the dwelling and to check that the doors and windows comply with the standards in terms of undercutting (the doors must be undercut to a minimum of 1,5 cm in dry rooms and 2 cm in damp rooms). Once the walls are dry, the moisture-hungry hygroscopic salts migrate to the surfaces. It is then essential to brush to remove most of these salts. To obtain perfect drying of the walls, it is important that they are dry and sound, and that no mineral salt rises in the coatings. We therefore recommend that you redo the lime facade plasters with an adjuvant against hygroscopic salts.
In the event of lateral infiltration, the installation of a drain is recommended. The latter makes it possible to collect underground water and evacuate it before it reaches the foundations.
It is important to note that this process does not treat infiltration, flooding problems and mold in the house, which will have to be treated separately.
