Description See +Hide
Stratophone is an acoustic laminated safety glass ideal for applications
residential double and triple insulating glazing near noisy places such as roads with heavy traffic, airports, stations or urban environments in general. It will be combined with glass with a low emissivity coating of the iplus or Energy type to also guarantee protection against the cold in winter and optimal comfort in summer.
How does this glazing work? Laminated glass generally consists of two sheets of glass (minimum) held together by a film called “PVB” (Polyvinyl Butyral). The Stratophone has a special kind of PVB which dampens the passage of sounds on either side of a window.
The mechanical and optical performance of the Stratophone is similar to a PVB film
standard. The reference standard for evaluating sound insulation performance is NF EN ISO 10140-3.
In interior use, Stratophone glass is used for the manufacture of partitions separating offices, living rooms such as living rooms, kitchens or bathrooms. Its PVB film can be combined with transparent or translucent colored films to bring decor or privacy to a room.
