Leica RTC Series: three 3D laser scanners designed to accelerate reality capture on all construction sites
Leica Geosystems unveils the new Leica RTC Series, a family of next-generation 3D laser scanners designed to meet the growing demands of construction, surveying and infrastructure professionals.
Based on a common architecture, the Leica RTC300, RTC500 and RTC700 combine speed of capture, precision and real-time collaboration to streamline the flow of data between the field, the cloud and the office.
This new range is aimed at teams that want to reduce on-site returns, secure their deliverables and accelerate their 3D scanning workflows.
A unique range, three performance levels
The Leica RTC Series is based on the same software environment and connected workflow. Each model is optimized for a specific level of requirement.
Leica RTC300
The agile scanner for everyday projects
The Leica RTC300 is the ideal entry point into high-performance laser scanning.
Designed for building construction, renovations, architectural surveys and evolving project environments, it offers an excellent balance of speed, accuracy and ease of use.
Key Features:
- Range up to 85 m
- Up to 1 million points per second
- Resolutions of 3, 6, 12 and 25 mm at 10 m
- Automatic field assembly screw technology
- Panoramic HDR imagery
- Real-time collaboration via Livelink
- Scalable for multi-scanner deployments
Recommended apps:
- Building surveys
- existing BIM
- Renovation and rehabilitation
- On-site quality control
- Documentation of current works
Leica RTC500
Versatility for diverse environments
The Leica RTC500 is aimed at professionals who work on projects with multiple constraints: topography, construction, infrastructure or public safety.
Thanks to its extended range and increased capture speed, it allows you to cover more ground while maintaining a high level of productivity.
Key Features:
- Range up to 130 m
- Up to 2 million points per second
- Resolutions of 3, 6, 12 and 25 mm at 10 m
- High-speed scans even at maximum range
- Automatic on-site assembly
- Integrated surveying workflows
- Real-time cloud collaboration
Recommended apps:
- Topography
- Roads and networks
- Facilities
- Public Safety
- Medium and large-scale construction projects
Leica RTC700
The benchmark for the most demanding projects
Designed for major infrastructure, complex industrial sites and large-scale surveying missions, the Leica RTC700 represents the highest level of performance in the range.
It combines maximum range, ultra-fast capture and advanced levels of detail for projects requiring impeccable data quality.
Key Features:
- Range up to 270 m
- Up to 2 million points per second
- Fine resolution down to 1,6 mm at 10 m
- Area Scan mode up to 0,8 mm
- Very low measurement noise for cleaner point clouds
- Advanced management of multi-scanner deployments
- Real-time collaboration via Hexagon GeoCloud and Leica Cyclone FIELD 360
Recommended apps:
- Installations industries
- Masterpieces
- Linear infrastructure
- Energy sites
- Large-scale complex digitization projects
A single, connected architecture
Beyond capture performance, one of the main strengths of the Leica RTC Series lies in its collaborative architecture.
Thanks to the Livelink functionality of Leica Cyclone FIELD 360, field data can be shared in real time with office teams via Hexagon GeoCloud. Experts can then monitor the progress of data acquisition, verify data quality, and support operators while work continues on site.
This approach improves team coordination, reduces measurement retakes, and accelerates the production of deliverables.
