Fermacell partitions and linings consist of fermacell fibre-gypsum boards mechanically fixed to a frame, wood or metal, with or without additional insulation.
Partitions can be load-bearing or non-load-bearing, distributive or separating.
The linings can be detached from the main structure (counter-partition) or fixed to the main structure (lining on furring strips).
Fermacell partitions and linings are designed for use in residential and public buildings. These products are suitable for both dry and wet private spaces. They are also approved for use in all seismic zones and for all building categories.
Fermacell boards are made of plaster, cellulose fibers from recycled paper, and water. The mixture of these natural components, combined with water, is then compressed and dried at high temperature to create a board of unparalleled rigidity.
Our plates have a format:
- 1500 x 1000 mm, and 10, 12.5, 15, 18 mm in BD - other floor-height formats also exist
- 2500 x 1200 mm, and 12.5 mm thick in 2 BA, and 10 and 12.5 mm in 4 BA
- In its straight-edged format, the panels are joined without tape or scrim, saving time and simplifying installation. This joining is achieved by bonding the panels edge-to-edge using Fermacell joint adhesive. This process allows the mounting systems to achieve extreme rigidity.
Finishing and decorative products (paints, wallpapers, plasters, tiles, etc.) can be applied directly, without a primer, as the panel is already treated at the factory. This significantly improves efficiency and productivity on the construction site.
