The application of this reflective membrane, creating a white roof or “Coolroof”, makes it possible to effectively combat heat islands.
It has a very high solar reflectivity of 95% with a solar reflectance index of 115 (SRI) which reduces the surface temperature of dark or black roofs by 50%.
During periods of heatwave, the energy demand of air conditioning systems is 25 to 58% higher than that observed in normal times.
