VitrA has created the world’s first 100% recycled ceramic washbasin, using/reusing waste, including discarded ceramics, from its manufacturing process. This innovative product, the result of the work of VitrA’s factories in Bozüyük, Turkey, has been designed to limit environmental impact, demonstrating VitrA’s commitment to sustainability: reducing waste by conserving resources and maximizing circular economy opportunities.
This sustainable production method saved approximately 5 kg of raw materials per product, an improvement of 36%, and reduced electricity consumption by 2,48 kWh per product, a significant improvement of 38%, due to the reduced dependence on resources.
This innovation reduces global warming potential by 30% per product during its production, transforming materials once considered waste into valuable resources.
Available in matte beige and in five distinct shapes, this basin is just the beginning of a collection that will offer other products and other colors, further reinforcing VitrA's desire to respect the environment and adopt virtuous practices.
