Batinfo: To start, can you quickly go over the history of Humidistop?
William Coignard: According to a report from INSEE (National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies), one of the main problems reported by the French regarding their housing is humidity. Indoor humidity problems can be attributed to various factors such as insufficient ventilation, rainwater infiltration through a cracked facade or even capillary rise from the ground. In order to preserve the integrity of the construction and the comfort of the occupants, it is essential to take dehumidification measures in the affected areas.
With both technical and commercial training, I have acquired diversified experience by specializing in project development. My career path has led me to hold positions such as developer at Biocoop, network director within a company specializing in renewable energies, and portage director within the Les Mousquetaires group. At the same time, I created an individual business focused on development consulting. I also had the opportunity to carry out a market study on products to combat humidity, both on the French and European markets, on behalf of a client. It was at that moment that I realized that there was a real opportunity to launch an ambitious project aimed at meeting a strong demand for the treatment of receding hairlines. Twelve years after its creation, our company sells around 2000 products per year to both individuals and professionals.
