Batinfo: Can you go back to the history of Wedge Institute?
Hassad Mouheb: Before becoming in 2008 a training center dedicated to real estate diagnostics and then to energy efficiency, we were a design office and real estate diagnostics firm (from 2005 to 2008) then faced with the demand of many people in retraining or looking for a job seeking training in the field, the idea came in 2008 to devote itself entirely to training in these areas (diagnosis and energy efficiency). First based in the great East, we gradually established ourselves throughout France to today be able to provide training in continuing education, work-study/apprenticeship and VAE in the cities of: Paris, Lille, Caen, Nantes , Reims, Metz, Strasbourg, Lyon, Aix-en-Provence, Nice, Toulouse and Bordeaux, and we are a leader in training on these themes with 1500 trainees trained per year.
Batinfo: What about the company today?
Hassad Mouheb: Today a leader in training in these activities, we are developing only in so-called "emerging" professions and certified by diplomas recognized by the State or professional qualifications. We pay a lot of attention to the practice and implementation of theoretical know-how acquired in the training room in the field thanks to "bootcamp" formats. We thus wish to respond to a market need, namely to provide recruiters with operational profiles at the end of their training course. Being supervised by a professional in the sector during their bootcamp, the future employer no longer has to worry about the practical mastery of the candidate. To meet the needs of the incentive and regulatory energy audit markets, where the qualifications RGE studies and my renovation support from Anah are required, we have developed an AMO course (project management assistance), following the prerequisite of the candidate, certified by a professional title recognized by the state at BAC+2 level of project manager in energy renovation or expert in energy efficiency of buildings at BAC+5 level. In these courses the trainee will be able to carry out DPEs for residential property (individual or collective), carry out a DTG (global technical diagnosis) and PPT (multi-year work plan); Become RGE studies, Recognized renovation guide with the ANAH and carry out incentive and regulatory audits. A real trusted third party for consumers in the context of a real estate sale project or its energy renovation.
Batinfo: What are your plans for the future ?
Hassad Mouheb: Our plan is to accelerate learning and work-study training, in fact the areas of diagnosis and energy efficiency require more and more skills and the exams are getting tougher as regulatory texts evolve. It is becoming increasingly difficult to meet these requirements in “short” continuing education formats. Continue the development of practice in the field through partnerships with companies recruiting for continuing training. We are also developing new training courses dedicated to the installation of systems running on renewable energies, this is a new area of development.
Batinfo: How do you see the future for Wedge?
Hassad Mouheb: We are considering new geographic locations and the creation of educational platforms. We are absolutely keen to develop as much practice as possible in our training in order to meet the needs of the markets. We are also developing our channel "WEDGE TV" dedicated to the testimonies of our trainees but also our television interventions and broadcasts dedicated to deciphering current events linked to the energy transition such as "the great debrief of the energy transition" because our educational mission does not is not limited to our learners, we also have an educational mission for consumers who often find themselves lost in the twists and turns of regulations.
