Meeting with Franck Meudec, CEO of Kairnial Group and executive member of Thinkproject

Batinfo: Can you introduce us to Thinkproject, the company with which your group merged recently?

Frank Meudec: Thinkproject is a company with more than 20 years of experience in the field of digital solutions dedicated to the construction trades. Concretely, Thinkproject develops digital solutions for common data environment (CDE), contract management, budget monitoring and project management at the cutting edge of technology dedicated to the construction market and the operation of assets for make them smart and durable. With multiple acquisitions since its creation, the company has managed to develop in Europe and internationally to become the European leader. Its reputation and the quality of its solutions notably enabled it to be chosen in 2020 for the largest rail and road project in the world, the Fermarnbelt tunnel.

Thinkproject therefore provides integrated solutions designed to meet the needs of professionals in the AECO sector, including expert support during the design, construction and operation of your asset.

As an ambitious company, it also focuses its sustainability efforts along three axes: responsible business, environmental sustainability and diversity and inclusion.

In January 2022, Thinkproject expanded further by acquiring the French leader in digital transformation Kairnial Group, now representing 700 employees and more than 300.000 users in more than 60 countries.

Frank Meudec: This success is due to the expertise of Thinkproject as well as its software and services to cover the entire life cycle of our users' projects. With 90% satisfaction on 75.000 projects delivered with Thinkproject since 2000, the solutions we provide are proven to deliver the fastest time to value in the industry.

Thinkproject advocates better use of data to promote more efficient asset management. We also seek to drive progress in the AECO sector by fostering collaboration and innovation to create a benchmark in digitization.

But allowing better use of data is not the only strong point of our platform, the human factor is also important. That's why our engineering and software experts combine their experience with the power of our platform to provide customers with digital solutions to foster collaboration within teams and stand out from the competition.

Concretely, we believe that the common data environment (EDC) is the keystone of BIM technology, object information and project documents (drawings, photos, etc.). Our platform allows anyone to easily access all BIM processes without requiring specialized training. For example, you can access model information through advanced BIM analyzes with DESITE BIM or ensure model quality through clash detection features including a rule-based control system.
