Batinfo: Can you introduce DECOTEC?

Laurent De Bray: DECOTEC is the only French bathroom furniture manufacturer whose excellent expertise has received the EPV (Living Heritage Company) state label.

Our collections are characterized and recognized by their careful finishing work and their elegant style, bringing functionality and modernity, serving our customers for many years; their unique and differentiating design is based on the combination of materials carefully selected by our craftsmen, the attention paid to details, the quality control that accompanies each stage of manufacturing in our 5 workshops located in Tuffé.

Our wooden pieces are covered with lacquer on all 6 sides, which explains the longevity of our furniture because moisture cannot penetrate, unlike products worked on both sides only or which have glued finishes. This requires more work and also explains the price of our collections, all made in France, all repairable thanks to their assembly method with eccentrics and dowels.

DECOTEC is anti-waste because our quality furniture lasts a very long time unlike other lower-quality products; it's a safe bet because you're fitting out your bathroom for several years; our furniture remains impeccable when reselling or renting.

DECOTEC is committed to an environmentally friendly approach and selects PEFC-certified wood for its furniture, meaning it comes from sustainably managed forests. Our lacquers are formaldehyde- and styrene-free. Made-to-order manufacturing also contributes to our desire to promote a consumption pattern that is more attentive to resources, both human and natural. Our production site located in Sarthe demonstrates DECOTEC's commitment to preserving local employment and promoting "Made in France," just like our customers, who, through their purchases, support French manufacturing and jobs and opt for a short supply chain.

Batinfo: What are your latest news?

Laurent De Bray: Fully invested in the circular economy, DECOTEC has just created the JOUVENCE piece of furniture, made from bio-sourced materials.

The mix of these innovative materials presents a new perspective on responsible and committed production. This furniture puts respect for the environment at the heart of its manufacturing, from the collection of natural raw materials to its production, for a carbon-neutral impact (CO2 - cradle to gate).

In fact, the washbasin is made from recycled scallop shells and the drawer fronts are covered with Linoil (composed of linseed oil, pine resin, wood flour, calcium carbonate and cellulose).

We also have the brand new Cascade furniture, whose undulating line and wave-like rhythm are a sign of DECOTEC's unique expertise.

Fully in line with the wellness trend, the unique work of Cascade Wood, with its evocative name, allows you to rediscover a natural and living material to better experience your daily bathroom appointments. Just like our Pagode furniture, whose design is a journey.

Our latest news is the presence of KANTAI furniture at the French pavilion at the Osaka World Expo, which begins in a few days. We are very proud to have been selected as a partner for this event. This choice, which makes us very happy, clearly illustrates the elegant work, the reputation for quality and reliability of DECOTEC furniture and encourages us to continue in today's complicated context.

Batinfo: Can you tell us about your future projects? How do you see the future for DECOTEC?

Laurent De Bray: DECOTEC has long been a reliable and quality partner for contract projects. We have created specific ranges that meet the constraints of hospitality (budget, functionality, and deadlines). The customizations and unique design of our furniture, washbasins, and mirrors adapt stylishly to the projects of those who contact us.

Both artisanal and industrial, we manufacture premium custom-made products using the work of artisans and more consensual collective projects.
