Batinfo: Traxxeo, is it a bit of a "one-stop shop" for the management of mobility resources?
Charles le Hodey: Absolutely. Traxxeo was created in 2008. Originally, we accompanied the Eiffage group in the geolocation of their fleet of vehicles, for better monitoring of activities and a more in-depth analytical understanding of their material expenditure. Between 2008 and 2018, the company developed mainly in Belgium, by expanding its offer to monitoring field personnel, responding in particular to Belgian legislation requiring daily monitoring of presence on site with social security, the "Check in at Work”.
During 2018, Traxxeo took a new turn with the acceleration of its development in France and the enrichment of its software offer. We now cover, thanks to a single platform, three main pillars of resource management:
- The “compliance and security” pillar, including:
- Attendance management and compliance control, as well as monitoring of accreditations and training.
- The management of administrative personnel files, driven by artificial intelligence that allows documents to be recognized and their validity to be monitored, greatly simplifying the management of subcontracting.
- Access control, usually coupled with staff compliance monitoring.
- The “human resources” pillar, which includes:
- GTA (time and activity management) with a complete service ranging from mobility clocking to the automation of prepayment calculations.
- Team planning, by project and according to constraints (availability, skills, etc.).
- Management of leave and absences, from request to planning.
- Finally, the historical “material management” pillar, including:
- Geolocated monitoring of vehicles, machines and construction machinery, for the preparation of maintenance plans, analysis of use, automation of compensation calculations, automatic re-invoicing, etc.
- The allocation plan for machines and vehicles, for optimal planning of all resources.
We are currently deploying these solutions mainly in Belgium, France and Luxembourg. We also have an international presence, with clients in Dubai in particular.
Batinfo: You are developing rapidly, particularly in France…
Charles le Hodey: In effect. Recently, we have deployed our solutions with groups such as Balas, Etandex, and even Demathieu Bard. The French market is very demanding and 2022 has been a pivotal year for the acceleration of development in France. The need is mainly centralized on HR management, in particular the GTA, which we are starting to link to attendance management or even the personnel register.
Another emerging need is the simplification of the management of subcontracting, which requires the processing of a considerable number of legal documents relating to personnel. We saw it as an opportunity to make the platform even more collaborative. We have now opened it up to our clients' subcontractors, so that they can easily save and share their personnel's administrative files. Everyone wins: the general contractor keeps a constant view of the presence on its sites and the subcontractor easily guarantees the compliance of its personnel. The idea is to propose a complete offer, for the management of internal and subcontractor personnel.
Our strength lies in relying on both solid business expertise and the best technological innovations. Our documentary platform also works with artificial intelligence, using a "deep learning" engine allowing it to recognize more and more official documents with excellent precision. This makes it possible to transform thousands – even hundreds of thousands – of documents into analyzable data.
Batinfo: What is your vision and plans for the future?
Charles le Hodey: We will continue to strengthen our three pillars, to take them even further. For compliance monitoring, we are currently working to enrich our use of AI, in order to recognize new documents and further simplify the management of construction sites in France and Belgium, both in terms of administrative monitoring and compliance and of security.
We have a real desire for continuous improvement. Thus we will also work to strengthen our "automation engine" on personnel management, in order to lighten the work of all stakeholders. This involves easier reporting of activities, or even easier validation and operational management for drivers, making it possible to report anomalies or obtain better visibility of budgets.
From the point of view of data processing, one of our missions is also the automation of the management of specific rules and legislation, in order to reduce the daunting work as much as possible.
In general, the goal is to focus on value-added tasks, rather than repetitive tasks such as data entry by HR teams.
Finally, it is certain that our future solutions will be built alongside our customers. The building sector is changing rapidly, and it is by properly identifying emerging needs that we intend to establish our position as a leader in the management of mobility resources. Our focus will be mainly on Europe, with our target audience: construction companies with 50 to 5.000 people.
