Specialist in the manufacture of prestressed concrete and reinforced concrete floor elements, RECTOR is committed alongside its customers in reducing the environmental impact by offering, as of now, solutions designed to meet the requirements of RE2020. . These will be presented on the RECTOR stand at the ARTIBAT trade fair to be held in Rennes from October 13 to 15, 2021.
Concrete solutions to meet the main challenges of RE2020 in single-family homes
Privileged partner of Cmistes (Builders of Individual Houses) and leader in this market for nearly 70 years, Rector offers the most complete range of innovative and optimized prefabricated solutions, from the basement to terrace roofs.
Thanks to the relevance of its prefabricated systems, Rector already responds to the three main challenges of RE2020:
Insulation and treatment of thermal bridges for each level of the house
With its range of Equatio floors with insulating interjoists (crawl space, basement, floor, roof terraces) associated with its thermal bridge breaker boxes and their accessories, Rector is one of the only manufacturers to be able to handle the all thermal bridges of the floor in 100% integrated insulation.
For crawl spaces, Rector offers combinations (Equatio VS floors and Rectosten insulating interjoists) to be as close as possible to the PSI in accordance with the RE2020 regulation, regardless of the climatic zone. The Rector Research and Development department has therefore reviewed all the calculations to adjust the performance of the floors to the new requirements of Bbio and to offer a wider range of tongue interlocking ranging from up 40 to up 11.
Rector low and multi-storey floor systems with integrated insulation are preferred over those with added insulation. Indeed, in addition to saving time and surface, this type of insulation allows the application of a coating directly on the compression table or the integration of a heating / cooling floor directly without screed.
“Because we took into account all the climatic zones of France during our studies, we are able to provide relevant and standardized solutions, and to support all our customers during their implementation for compliant homes. Thanks to the adjustment of our solutions calculated to just psi, achieving the thermal performance of floors according to the thresholds envisaged for RE2020 is much simpler ”, explains Côme Lesage, Strategic Marketing Manager.
Control of the carbon footprint
Requiring less concrete for their manufacture and less transport to deliver them to construction sites, Rector prefabricated floors are naturally more sober in terms of material and benefit from a reduced environmental impact. They are also endowed with an almost unlimited lifespan.
To obtain a good carbon footprint, a floor made up of prestressed joists and Rector heaps is an optimized solution compared to other solutions such as supported paving or slab on grade.
Finally, Rector markets a range of light interjoists, in 100% recycled plastic, in wood, for crawl spaces or upper floors, the formulations of which have been designed to reduce the carbon impact on construction sites.
"We offer our customers solutions adapted to decarbonize floors: Recycled Rectoplast, Primolight and Rectolight as well as assemblies developed for each site", adds Côme Lesage.
Beyond the composition of its products, Rector places at the heart of its approach the circular economy, the optimization of transport, the management of resources and waste in factories and on its customers' sites.
Finally, all Rector prefabricated floor solutions are subject to Environmental and Health Declaration Forms (FDES) to assure builders and design offices of the quality and performance of the systems.
Taking into account summer comfort
Rector is launching a new range of cooling, heated Equatio® floors, resulting from its partnership with Rehau.
While preserving the thermal inertia of the floor, this system, integrated into the slab, allows builders of individual houses to offer comfort to their customers, summer and winter, while meeting the RE2020.
With all of these durable Rector prefabricated flooring solutions, individual home professionals can be sure they are choosing performance at controlled costs and complying with new regulations.
