
To help them meet this challenge, KP1 is expanding its range of pre-slabs with integrated thermal breaks (ThermoPrédalles), which effectively treat heat losses at the junction between floors and facades. KP1 unveils its new THERMIK Pre-slab, the most efficient prestressed concrete structural solution on the market.
Thanks to a total break in the floor/façade connection in the load-bearing and non-load-bearing directions, it divides heat losses by four. It makes it possible to obtain a reduced linear thermal transmission coefficient (Psi) of between 0,22 and 0,30 W/m.K for concrete constructions.
These energy savings brought by record and competitive treatment of common floor/façade connections generate other advantages for the site such as the reduction in the thickness of wall lining which thus optimizes the living space, the elimination of the treatment of balcony connections, etc.
The all-in-one answer for RE2020 buildings

Beyond the thermal aspect of RE2020, the THERMIK Pre-slab also responds pragmatically to the environmental challenge. Made in Prestressed concrete, in KP1 factories, it intrinsically reduces the carbon weight of the building thanks to the reduction in the quantity of materials (concrete and steel) generated by this construction method: carbon saving of 30% compared to a solid slab.
For projects where the carbon impact needs to be further optimized, KP1 offers the THERMIK Pre-Slab in the eco-designed IMPAKT IC16 rangeIt achieves a carbon weight of 16 kg eqCO2/m², a gain of 33% compared to a standard reinforced concrete pre-slab.
At the end of its annual Technical Seminar, which ended this Sunday, December 3, the Pôle Habitat FFB unveiled the winners of its 2023 Innovative Housing Challenge. In the “Low carbon structural solutions” category, the Prédalle THERMIK version of the IMPAKT range received the gold medal. A distinction shared with HIBANA, the pilot developer who experimented with this innovative system from both a thermal and environmental point of view.
The solution for all construction sites
The new Prédalle THERMIK is delivered to the site ready to install, with its thermal breakers, its connecting steels and its safety accessories integrated directly in the factory. It guarantees rapid and reliable installation. Its breakers are equipped with a protective cover to protect them from the hazards of the construction site and humidity.
THERMIK Prédalle is available in three floor thicknesses (20, 23 and 25 cm) and covers all the needs of collective housing sites and non-residential buildings insulated from the inside (offices, schools, health establishments, etc.) , whatever the seismic zone. It can be implemented on all floor levels (top of basement, upper floor and roof terrace) and all types of facades (concrete wall, concrete block masonry, brick masonry).
