Each floor has its own low-carbon floor KP1: bio-sourced EMX Bois interjoists and EMR interjoists made from recycled raw materials

They are increasingly moving away from the beaten track of individual homes and are being introduced into collective housing projects and non-residential buildings (shops, offices, healthcare buildings, education, etc.).

To be even more efficient on the carbon impact of its products, KP1 is developing its range of joists. First with theEMR in 2020. It is a Recycled Material Interjoist composed of 100% recycled raw material. This "100% circular economy" product comes from a short circuit since the waste recycling site and the factory that manufactures the EMR interjoists are only 30 km apart. It has a carbon weight of only 1,76 kg eqCO2/m² and is part of the IMPAKT range, which is KP1's eco-designed product range. The EMR interjoist is perfectly suited to the crawl space environment and prevents mold due to humidity.

To offer low-carbon beam/joist floors as upper floors, KP1 is launching theEMX Wood interjoists. This product made from bio-sourced material has a carbon weight of -2,28 kg eqCO2/m² and joins the IMPAKT range from KP1. The wood used to manufacture this product is of French origin since it comes from the Massif Central. The EMX Bois interjoist is ideal for the creation of upper floors, basement floors and roof terraces, it meets the regulatory requirements of residential and non-residential buildings (fire, acoustic, thermal, etc.)

With these two blocks, KP1 offers low-carbon beam/block solutions for all floors: the EMR block in crawl spaces and the EMX Bois block for intermediate floors or roof terraces.
