Composites have managed to gain a legitimate place alongside classic wood species. With the multiplication of their ranges, the improvement of formulas, they currently offer a very interesting material, which does not replace wood, but which allows to satisfy certain expectations of consumers. Better controlled and of better quality, these materials therefore require real care like pure species. Indeed, composites, as solid, hard and dense as they are, get dirty, dirty, and strongly suffer from UV attack. It is therefore necessary to maintain them if we want to keep them beautiful!

What is a composite?

A material composed of a plastic matrix and a filler of wood particles or similar materials. The distribution of "plastic versus wood particles" varies greatly from one type of composite to another. Similarly, the quality of the plastic used differs from one type to another, influencing the quality of the final product depending on whether this part is mainly recycled or not.

Thus in a composite: the more the plastic material used is composed of recycled elements and the greater the proportion of plastic versus the wood particles, the more fragile the composite obtained.

What difficulties with composites?

Their texture

They usually have a grooved texture that easily picks up dirt. These get stuck, generating stains, and even foam. Composites can also turn yellow when attacked by dirt.

UV fragility

UV rays attack the plastic fiber contained in the composite, drying it out and hardening it, causing the blades to become brittle. It is therefore very important to provide special protection for composite structures if you want to preserve them for a long time.

Due to their specific texture, composites cannot be cleaned with a simple household cleaner as one might be tempted to do. You need a suitable product.

COMPO-CLEAN acts as a powerful degreaser and dissolves grease stains, all dirt embedded in the grooves and all particles present on the support.

Thanks to the quality acrylic resins and the oil and water repellent additives in its formula, COMPOXELL® allows composite structures to better resist grease stains, the effects of water and ambient pollution.

Increased UV protection gives the media better durability by preventing the blades from breaking.

Finally, the quality of the COMPOXELL® resins gives it optimum adhesion to all composites regardless of their quality. COMPOXELL® is therefore an excellent solution for making mid-range composites last.

In addition, it offers two shades, brown and anthracite gray, which allow you to take care of all composite supports.
