Biocofra VS: an ecological solution to fight against ground movements

BIOCOFRA VS subject to specifications approved by SOCOTEC.

The introduction of water into this formwork, after the concrete of the supported slab has set, removes the strength of the cardboard and begins its biodegradation. The space thus freed is conducive to the free deformation of the soil.

The proposed thicknesses are adapted to your soil study and start from 40 mm then evolve in steps of 10 mm up to 500 mm.

On request, thermal insulation can be combined in the factory with Biocofra VS.

Installation methodology:

1. Leveled excavation bottom.
2. Polyethylene film at the bottom of the excavation.
3. Installation of the panels and bonding using the Adhesive provided.
4. Polyethylene film in the upper part of the Biocofra VS panels then taping of the connections.
5. Installation of thermal insulation (optional).
6. Installation of welded mesh.
7. Installation of accessories: water introduction devices (1/25 m²) and insulation anchors if there is insulation under the slab.
8. Casting of the slab.
9. Impoundment 15 days after casting.

Additional precautions:

If the polyethylene film is pierced, repair it using the Adhesive.

When the pallets arrive on site, remove or open the film from the central part of the pallets to prevent condensation, lay the pallets edge to edge and cover the assembly to allow continuous ventilation.
