RE2020 is an environmental regulation for the Construction sector responding to the challenges of global warming, through a strategy to reduce CO₂ emissions. In this way and in order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, it aims to reduce the carbon impact of buildings on all new construction projects.
With this in mind, Alkern offers several solutions that can meet these new challenges, thanks to:
- High thermal performance on a dedicated range of insulating blocks.
- Low carbon emissions during the manufacture of our concrete blocks.
- Comfort and quality of life of our concrete blocks, for a lasting heritage.

We are present through 54 production sites distributed throughout the national territory and supplied with 100% local raw materials. First of all, this allows us to limit the transport of materials, which are therefore manufactured near your worksites.
Then, the products of the Alkern group rank rank A+, which means that they benefit from very low pollutant emissions and this characteristic constitutes the best possible class. We can also cite the fact that the concrete remains rot whatever its environment, and that its fungistatic composition allows it to inhibit the development and reproduction of fungi. The quality of the air inside your home remains preserved!
Alkern then has a selection of blocks with a thermal resistance (R) ranging from 0,3 to 2,14 m² K/W. A range of 8 blocks with, for each, their specificity and different performances to best meet all types of needs! The thermal resistance of this selection of blocks has a major advantage, since it is certified and guaranteed by the NFth mark. All our RE2020 blocks are of composition 100% mineral and their manufacturing process does not require cooking, then limits the carbon impact.
In conclusion of their advantageous properties, Alkern blocks are 100% recyclable at the end of life. Consequently, these resulting from deconstruction can be reused in the production of new blocks or as backfill in road engineering.

We can for example cite theELIBLOC, with a carbon footprint of only 9,92 kg eq. CO₂/m² (total life cycle excluding module D) and validated by a Environmental and Health Declaration Sheet (FDES). The latter applies to all our stick-on blocks and is available/downloadable from the inies.fr website.
In other words, this regulation makes it possible to evaluate the performance of products intended for the Construction sector, Alkern has thus chosen to impose its entire range. Each of these standardized documents is checked and verified by an independent third-party organization, itself recognized by a verification program approved by the State.
Finally, this essential step also makes it possible to understand, despite popular belief, that the precast concrete block is a product very little greedy in matter, therefore in CO₂ emissions. The latter will soon be able to benefit carbon footprint reduction commitments cement, one of its most carbonaceous raw materials. The concrete block, this low-carbon product still has a bright future ahead of it!
We are also able to offer you solutions dealing with the problem thermal bridges thanks to our range of insulating planelles ISOPLANEL and our range of boxes for rolling shutters.
